Treatment Pre-Care & Aftercare
To help you achieve the best possible results, please review the pre-care and aftercare instructions below for each of our services. Proper preparation and healing care are essential to maximize your treatment outcomes.
Permanent Makeup (Brows, Lips, Eyeliner)
Pre-Care

Avoid alcohol, caffeine, and blood thinners (e.g. aspirin, Advil, fish oil) 24–48 hours before
-
No tanning or sun exposure on the face for 2 weeks prior
-
No Botox or fillers in the area 2 weeks before
-
For lips: begin taking Valtrex 3 days before your lip blush appointment if you’re prone to cold sores (prescription required, please contact your family doctor)

Arrive with clean skin and no makeup on the area being treated
Aftercare

Clean the area with mild soap and apply a thin layer of healing ointment twice daily
-
Avoid direct sun exposure for at least 4 weeks
-
No exercise, sweating, swimming, spas, or makeup for 5 days
-
Keep the area moisturized for 5 days to minimize flaking
-
Use only clean towels and pillowcases for the first 48 hours
-
Lip Blush Only: Rinse lips after every meal for 48 hours and reapply healing balm multiple times daily
Microneedling & Chemical Peels
Pre-Care
-
Avoid sun exposure and tanning for 1 week prior

Discontinue use of retinoids, acids (AHA/BHA), and exfoliants 5 days before

Avoid waxing or any hair removal in the area for 5–7 days before

Stay hydrated and arrive with clean, makeup-free skin

Avoid blood-thinning medications and supplements (like Advil, aspirin, fish oil) 48 hours before, if approved by your doctor
Aftercare

Avoid direct sun exposure for 30 days

Use only recommended aftercare products for 5 days

Wash the treated area twice daily, apply recovery balm, and use sunscreen

Use clean towels and pillowcases

Avoid sweating, intense exercise, saunas, and hot showers for 48 hours
-
Resume your regular skincare (including Vitamin C and retinoids) after 7 days
Laser Hair Removal
Pre-Care
-
Shave the treatment area 12–24 hours before your appointment (or enough to see a stuble. The laser needs to see the hair follicle in order to be able to catch the hairs)

Avoid sun exposure and tanning (including self-tanners) for at least 2 weeks
-
Do not wax, pluck, or use hair removal creams for 4 weeks before treatment

Do not apply lotions, deodorants, or makeup on the day of your appointment
-
Notify your technician of any medications or recent antibiotic use
Aftercare

Avoid direct sunlight for 2 weeks and apply sunscreen daily
-
No skin treatments (peels, facials, etc.) in the treated area for 2 weeks

Avoid spas, steam rooms, or saunas for 72 hours
-
Apply a cold compress to reduce swelling and discomfort
-
No makeup, lotions, or deodorant on treated areas for 24 hours
-
Avoid exercise and sweating for 48 hours
-
No retinoids, acids, or peels for at least 1 week
-
Avoid shaving and exfoliation in the treated area for at least 72 hours
